My name is “Tik” Apiphawadee Snidvongs and I am a volunteer for Operation Smile Thailand. I recently volunteered at the Operation Smile clinic in Surin Hospital, Thailand and spent precious time with some amazing children who are in need of volunteers to provide them tender loving care.

The professional staff at the hospital are very welcoming to the volunteers and more importantly to their young patients. The facility is a state of the art surgical facility but also provides a warm and friendly “home” for the patients. The playrooms and staff create a family environment where kids can be kids as they prepare for an amazing transformation in the operating room.

It was a very emotional experience to witness the miracles the staff performs and I will never forget seeing for the first new smile after surgery. It feels amazing to be part of a team who volunteers their time to add yet another beautiful smile to the “Land of Smiles”.
